"Why We Call It A Day"

Did you ever give thought to this question?

"Why is 24 hours called a 'day'?"

I think I can give you the answer,

Could be right, could be wrong, who can say?

It was when God began The Creation,

Long before humankind walked this earth,

And here's my suggestion to ponder,

So here goes now for what it is worth,

God began all His work with much vigour,

And he toiled on and on with His plan,

Making light for the earth with the sunshine,

As only the warm sunshine can,

But His work was extremely deflating,

And these words to Himself He did say,

"After 24 hours of good labour,

I think that I'll call it a day!"

(Boom! Boom!)
