Just when you think you've got it made, just when you think life's right,
Along it comes, that awful thing you sometimes thought just might,
And now it's here, and how your life is shattered by this blow,
So what do you intend to do, where are you going to go?
Well my advice is nowhere, don't go rushing into life,
For certain you will only be creating further strife,
To do things on the rebound never solved a thing, you know,
So sit a while, and ponder, and let's take it nice and slow,
The first thing you have got to do is ask “Why did it come?”,
Does it affect so many or is it for only some,
And could you have avoided this catastrophe you find,
Or was it that you never gave it thought there in your mind,
But what's the point in worrying, it is here, now you must cope,
And out there is a someone who can give you renewed hope,
But how you then approach it will depend on its success,
Or will you just go blindly on, creating one more mess,
Quite often things we chase just run away from us, it's true,
It's happened in the past to me, maybe it will to you,
So all I want to say to you is take your time this time,
And when you ever doubt life's 'things', re-read this little rhyme.
