'True Home'
Tick…….. tock……. life's…….. clock, counting off the days,
Measuring that which is planned, there in Heaven's gaze,
Can I stop the clock maybe?.... I fear not so, not so,
For when the hour chimes it will be time for me to go,
Time to go to "True Home" where my Spirit will gain rest,
And love will reign supreme with peace, where there is but the best,
And I shall see my loved ones, who have travelled there before,
They surely will be waiting and they'll greet me at the door,
I then will live in Paradise, as Jesus said I would,
For through my life I've tried to think and practice what is good,
This will be my reward for having faith in what He said,
I'll be among the living, so think not that I am dead,
I'll walk among the gardens of the like ne'er seen before,
With flowers so resplendent which on Earth I never saw,
The trees will stand magnificent, and never shed a leaf,
So do not cry when I am gone, show little sign of grief,
For I am where you will one day come too, and I'll be there,
And then our conversations of the past we can then share,
I always will remember you, so please remember me,
And when you bring to mind my name, be happy, happy be,
These are my thoughts, not wishes, for I know that they are true,
And where I go to meet my God, I one day will see You.
