"The Plight of Melian"
My eyes were all sleepy, my brain in a fog,
I could not get to grips with the day!
No thing seemed to go right, I grumbled and moaned,
"OH, Dear Lord" to myself I did say,
I wished that I'd stayed in my bed fast asleep,
Knowing now what I know, but too late,
I am up and about but reluctant to start
Anything strenuous, it can wait!
I could go ask my neighbour to help with my plight,
If they could, I would pay handsome fee,
I could phone for room service were this an hotel,
But it's not, so it's all down to me!
It's my fault I've run out, no one else is to blame,
And the next time I go to the shop,
'Tis the first thing I'll buy, for it's now on my list,
"JAR OF COFFEE", right there at the top!!
